WW1 is one of my favorite periods in history, so its wonderful to see a historically accurate ww1 game. The weapons, uniforms, and maps all feel genuine; not everyones running around with full auto mgs like in bf1. The main issue is that no one seems to play it. Most of the time there may be one or two servers half full per region, and thats about it.

Its really a shame the game doesn't have a single player aspect (outside of a one-man horde-mode type game) to extend its shelf life. Id like to see an offline bot mode similar to chivalry medieval. If you're lucky, you may land in a populated server, otherwise it's a kind of shoddy wave defense game mode you're stuck with. I would still recommend this game to lovers of history and squad-based shooters alike.
The gameplay is genuinely intense no matter what playstyle you adopt- the satisfaction of dropping attackers from your nook with a bolt action, MG, handgun, or otherwise is very much worth it. Clearing trenches through savage means, such as pump action shotguns, bayonets, flamethrowers, and clubs feels pretty fuckinn brutal. Creeping through an enemy trench with the boys is as good as it gets. Pick this one up if you can. I've been playing this game for about a month now and when I started I didn't like it because it had a HUGE learning curve with no tutorial which is kind of cool because it lets you find what YOU like wether it be trench sniper (my personal favorite), Stationary machine gunner or a more of a head on player and it lets you play how you want instead of telling you how you should play, But a tutorial would be nice.
The guns are AMAZING, I don't know how many times I've had my sites lined up on someone and my bolt was in the worng position and I lost my shot and sometimes if I get pushed in a trench my bolt will jam and it's gotten me killed a lot, Its annoying but a really cool feature I wasnt expecting. This game is ACTIVE! I dont know why I see so many reviews saying its dead, I get a game almost any time of the day and its always full everytime.
